Our Story
The Full Journey
Language for Life Society is marking a decade of dedication to the Kelowna community!
Our small language school began as a private business in 2016 at the Parkinson Recreation Centre in Kelowna, with a passion for providing accessible English language programming to adult English learners. Since then, we have grown and evolved, moving through various spaces to accommodate our students’ needs.
After years of growth and community impact, we made the transition to a non-profit society in 2022, strengthening our mission and collaborations.
At Language for Life, we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of our students, from refugees to immigrant workers.
Our commitment to collaboration and community involvement has led to innovative programs like TALK Tutors, supporting Syrian refugees, and SAIM, helping students prepare for the CELPIP exam.
We are proud to have become a vital part of our community, earning recognition as Best of Kelowna for ESL schools and Best English Tutors. The impact we've had on our students' lives, helping them achieve their goals and feel at home in their new community is what makes us most proud.
With our new space on Enterprise Way, we're excited for continued growth and success, committed to empowering students and building a stronger community.
